A shot of the Apollo 12 launch from the base of the rockets. Incredibly dramatic. I remember fragments of this footage from In the Shadow of the Moon and elsewhere, no doubt.

Sadly not set in the tree on the library lawn that at one time had the longest unsupported limb in treedom, the Vassar chapel is recognizable in the background.

I have a problem.

High def footage of the moon shot by a Japanese satellite orbiting the moon on Halloween this year. Unintentionially fascinating quote: "The satellite was confirmed to be in good health through telemetry data received at the Usuda station."

Interesting video series by KUT 90.5 FM. Of particular interest is this gorgeous band video of Do Make Say Think.

Making lights and rocks look lyrical.

Can't believe I haven't linked to this before, but today would be the appropriate day for it, I guess. To my mind the single most resonant and wrenching response to the September 11th attacks.
