Not a travel plan, but a Mountain Goats song. Also, it just took me like 4 tries to spell Reykjavik correctly. I'm getting rusty.

"and sonny liston rubbed some tiger balm into his glove. / some things you do for money and some you do for love love love." I have more than one favorite Mt. Goats song, but right now, right now I think this is maybe the best one they've ever done.

"I feel hope for them, because they love each other. I know that that is a corny thing to say, so for people who have corn allergies I apologize."

I think my favorite part is when they spin the little A wheel at the beginning of "aftermath".

Apropos of last night's Black Hole of Calcutta-esque show. Amazed that no one passed out. "Let's go to Maine out on the East Coast / Let's go to Maine right now / Let's beat the retreat / Let's hop on the plane / Let's get out of here / Let's go to Maine"

I can remember the moment I started to love the Mountain Goats. It was driving through from New York to Austin with Angel. Forces converged during this song coming out poor old Adlai Stevenson's Volvo Brand Speakers.
