Photoblog documenting New York City block by block. Most recent entry is about the block I work on. He shot the lightpole I lock my bike to!
"The Writing on the Wall project (1991-1993) took place in Berlin’s former Jewish quarter, the Scheunenviertel neighborhood. There Attie projected slides made from pre-Holocaust photographs of the neighborhood’s Jewish residents and shops in the same (or sometimes nearby) locations where the original images were taken."
"It's been nearly nineteen years since Lynch and crew descended upon the Snoqualmie Valley to shoot the pilot for Twin Peaks..."

Each borough's border photographed.
Roll call on today's City Council vote to approve congestion pricing in the city of New York. My councilman, Bill deBlasio, who is running for borough president, voted "No", which seems to be a politically questionable move. He's probably lost my vote.
"'The Horror at Red Hook' is set in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn, NY, where Lovecraft lived for a brief time at 169 Clinton Street (from 1924 to 1926)."
Interesting resource for keeping up on the neighborhood.
