At the usps facility in the middle of nowhere. Symbolizes our collective unwillingness to pay attention to fences.

One of the rare moments we walked our bikes. Obstructed this time by crowds and not by fences.

Summer vacation

Summer vacation

In the summer in New York, even the school buses head to Coney Island when the weather's good. Seems like this might be a killjoy for all the kids there. Nathan's billboard in the distance.

Boardwalk

Boardwalk

When we reached Coney Island, we rode most of the way along the boardwalk before stopping for "lunch" (about 4 o'clock) at Totonnos. A confession and a warning: once I'd ridden about 30 miles more or less non-stop and in the setting sun, the varying colors of the boards as I was riding on them made me want to throw up. Moral: stop for pizza earlier.

Helpful labeling, spotted by Kio. Two buildings in a row sported these indicators. Way to use dots for spaces.

Neil and Kio. We sort of timed the trip to make it to sunset park as the sun was going down.
